When Cupid Struck

I knew I love him from the very start. But I am not worthy of his love according to him. And one day in my life, my friends dared ne. I was known for my innocent beauty, and because of this there are many guys who are after me.

They dared me to seduce Nikos. Not literally seduce but to make him fall for me. I was both challenge and thought it’s fun. I was also dared because I really wanted him.

I am self-confessed spoiled brat. I get what  want. Everything. We are not really rich nor very poor. I was the only girl in the family and that’s make me the “Princess.”

Nikos was once very rich. In fact, the business partner of my dad. But his dad was hostage and force to sign papers and he was assasinated. Thei business, assets, and liabilities went to soebody else. My dad kept him in. but he was not adopted.

Nikos and I are in good terms. We can be called as best friends. Back to where I’m saying, I was dared, so I pursue Nikos. So, I can say he fell in love with me. I gave to him my most precious thing because I love him.

After that he broke up with me. No! I broke up with him and he agreed. I don’t know what happened then.

After college, I pursue him again. I beg and he take it for granted. I was devastated and so I went to Paris. I became a model and come back to Philippines to run over our business.

So after five years Nikos was handling our business and also starting as his own. Is there still a chance for us the second time around? Will Cupid strike again?

Chapter One

Hi! I’m Keemeone Monzones. The only child of Edgar and Marieta Monzones. I’m seventeen years old and on the bloom of my years. I have a housemate- yes that’s what my friends call him. He’s been at my house for almost a decade now. He was really good at me. I love him!

I love him, really. But I don’t think he’ll ever know it. Or if I would be able to tell it to him. I think he looked at me as his little sister. But for me his not. Sometimes I thought he thought of me as a mean girl and spoiled brat. Well, sometimes. I’m a princess at house. And my friends treat me one. my words are the rule. And that includes to him.

Ever since he stepped into our home, he was already aloof with me. I didn’t know why. I always ask him “why don’t you like me?” He just answers “it’s not that I don’t like you… it’s just that your parents include me in your family”. Well, honestly I can’t understand his statement.

FAMILY that was the word that my friends think that a factor of Nikos not liking me. I can still remember the time that my dad and mom brought him home. He was crying. He was ten years old while I am just seven at that time. He was very sad and crying softly. I even asked my mom why the boy is crying.

My mom said that he grew up in New York and just got home, then his parents are working in some business here in the Philippines when his father was hostage and assassinated. Her mother met a car accident on the way home the same time his father assassinated. The investigations tell that there was a foul play.

Starting that day, Nikos lived in our home. And I think, ever since that day I fell in the charms of Nikos de Leon.

I don’t know if Nikos is just a woman hater- well that was according again to my friends. My feelings for Nikos were an open book to my friends. I can’t say if they are supporting me or what. But for me, all I needed were someone’s to share, what I feel and thought. And they are the one’s who are available.
